A change of luck

This afternoon I cycled to the Blaarmeersen before doing some shopping but I didn't have much luck taking photos.
The sun disappeared just before I reached the area.
A Cormorant flew off before I could get my camera out of my bag.
A group of Little Grebes were at the wrong side of the water.
A Tufted Duck didn't stop diving..
On my way back I spotted a pair of Great Crested Grebes but they were too far away.

Then suddenly my luck turned when a second pair of them appeared. I'd just put my camera back in my bag but managed to get it back out and take a few shots of one of the birds before they swam off again.
