Frosty Sunrise at Cossington Meadows
I got up early this morning, but didn't make it to Cossington Meadows in time to set up comfortably for the sunrise.
The frost wasn't as heavy as it might have been, as we had overnight cloud, and more cloud has swept in since daybreak.
It was the first time that Basil and I had been here. It's a glorious stretch of flood meadow near the River Soar, with lots of birds. Several skeins of geese flew from the big pond over the road towards the river shortly after sunup.
Boots are needed. The mud was frozen this morning which made it firmer underfoot.
At least I know where to park now.
