Apple Pockets
We're finishing up the apples from last week.
Apple Pockets
2 apples
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 package (7.5 oz) refrigerated biscuits*
Preheat oven to 350. Peel apples and grate them into a bowl. In a small bowl, combine sugar and cinnamon. Stir half of mixture into grated apples. Roll each biscuit out to about a 5" circle (use flour on your rolling pin and board to prevent sticking). Spoon apple mixture onto circles. Fold circle over and pinch edges to make half moons. Place on baking sheet. Brush pies with water and sprinkle with remaining cinnamon/sugar. Bake 20 minutes. Makes 10 pies. Serve à la mode.
*I think I might try it with the pre-made puff pastry next time. Biscuit dough was just so-so. Could be, though, because my daughter rolled it to death.
