Fun on wheels

We caught the Kusttram (Coach Tram) today which travels the length of the Belgian Coast and is apparently the longest tramline in the world at 68km (42 miles). We went to the end of the line from where we were staying which is De Panne. We had a play on the beach/skate/scooter on the promenade before renting one of the big bike thingy-ma-jigs in the blip. The adults all took turns pedalling which was quite a lot of fun, although steering was a bit trickier!
We had lunch there before hopping back on the tram and heading back up North to Middelkerke where there was an free ice slide. Neil and the kids sat in big rubber rings before sliding down at a rapid rate squealing with delight!
From there we headed back up to Blankenberge as it was starting to get dark. We had a rest back at the hotel before wandering the streets looking for a restaurant for something to eat. Things were looking a bit bleak, and at one stage it looked like we may have to grab a packet of crisps from the newsagent, before we stumbled across a good old Belgian brasserie serving traditional Belgian food.
A lovely evening but all in bed and asleep before midnight. It's all that sea air - it wipes you out!
