New footpath...

...through the woodland near our house was created some time during this last week. Mr M noticed a new footpath sign, and I noticed another, so we thought we'd try it out with Louie this morning. We went only a short way up and down the hill but, presumably, the footpath as a whole forms a circular walk. Very pleasant to be able to walk off-road.

Day of creativity in the kitchen as friends are coming for a meal this evening. About to make the soup (celeriac and bacon) and dessert (mincemeat and almond tart), after which Mr M will cook the main course (a traditional Sunday roast). The diet starts again tomorrow!
