Saturday AM was muddy feet from breaking ice in puddles at Edmonstone, B and E at a petrol station to scout for Cigs. Teaching them bad habits young. Oh dear.

PM was a bike ride around North Edinburgh; very gentle, no specific purpose, just hangin' out, having fun. Dropped them home as she arrived.

First evening in a loooooong time of just us; dodgy 80's movie (her choice. Obv ;-) )
Oatcakes topped with goat's cheese, chopped toasted hazelnuts and a balsamic / pomegranate molasses reduction. Just heavenly.
Roasted duck with a blackberry sauce - sweet and sharp and intensely fruity. Sautee potatoes and pak choy.
Dessert involved a pomegranate and lime sponge pudding with a brullee topping with cream.

Drank too much to go with the eating too much. Very much needed evening of not very much at all.
