A wartime heart.

I asked my friend Monica (92).. about the little heart & cross she wore on a wee chain. She told me of the time of her 21st birthday.. when she was working in the factory producing Lancaster bombers during WW2.. she said a young chap came over with this little heart he had made for her using the perspex from the windsceen of the Lancaster... and she has worn it ever since.
