Generosity

This plate of meat patties is a picture of the generosity of people here. This afternoon the children and I visited a refugee family and as we left they insisted we take this food home with us. I was so embarrassed and tried to refuse but it did no good. This isn't the first time this had happened with refugees. Its hard to know how to handle this as they are so generous with the very little they have. You feel terrible taking but you don't want to deny them the dignity of being able to give which is such a big part of who they are. I'm learning a lot from these people.
