A Welcome Splash of Colour
Since Dad passed away nearly a month ago, Mum and I have continued doing the same things that we always have done on Sundays for many years. Church, a carvery lunch, a mooch round the local Factory Shop to see if there's anything worth buying amid the cheap rubbish (I found a nice pair of black leather gloves today) and then flopping out for the rest of the day. And yet, as Mum said when we were doing the washing up after tea, nothing will ever be the same again.
This pink azalea in Dad's garden - it will always be Dad's garden to me - is standing up well to the chilly winter weather. A welcome splash of colour on a bitterly cold day.
