Winters Day

A cold but sunny start then it just went wet and cold.Had plans on a run out to the Lake District today but after a look at the weather forecast for the coming week decided to spend the day filling my wood store.Four hours with the chainsaw then about an hour tidying up the mess I had made.Wood chippings all over the place.
We have been lucky some parts of the country have been hit badly by the weather.
The forecast for the week ahead is cold.We start sowing Bedding plants and start potting as soon as the first bulk load of compost arrives.
Pansies and Violas will go onto next weeks availability list.They are later than last year flowering which must be down to the low light levels.
