Full Steam, Fog and Snow

The sun was shining and the sky was blue - until I reached the top of the Pennines. The Dark Side was all foggy and dull.

I headed over to Ramsbottom as the East Lancashire Railway was holding a winter steam gala weekend. There were lots of engines running with some trains having three locos (double head at the front and a bank loco at the back).

The falling snow added to the ambience.
