Lsat of the winter sun , Loch Tarsan
We were over in Blairmore for part of the day, saying farewell to Fiona Logan who has been the CEO of the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park since my second year as Environment Minister but who is now moving to another job. She has made a great success of the park and David MacKenzie, the elected Board member for the Cowal area wanted to mark her departure with a small lunch which was very enjoyable.
We left in plenty of time to get home in daylight given the weather forecast - the temperature will dip much lower than in recent times tonight - and the last of the day's winter sun was just glancing off the hill tops as we came past Loch Tarsan and down to Loch Striven.
The bright colours of the larches on the side of the loch were very noticeable but the difficulty was finding somewhere to park (safely) and photograph them. Then a passing place and stile presented themselves - blippers luck !
