A brisk trot around the gallops

Just before the daylight faded, I managed a quick run. The closest gallops are used for training the race horses in the morning but other legged friends are welcome in the afteroon.

There were plenty of dogs and their owners this afternoon but I was the only runner.

It is a treat to have an area free from cars and pavements and the undulating surface varies one's pace and requires a different level of concentration.
