Curlews

A beautiful sunny day today and it was time for the wellington boot's first outing. They were a wise investment as the farm where our National Trust bird watching event was held was extremely wet and muddy. This is part of a flock of curlew which were grazing in the far distance, we also saw a great tit and a buzzard. There were los of dunlin and other waders on the Exe estuary but the tide was out so quite difficult to spot and too far away to photograph.
