The birthday girl
Scarlett was very excited with her birthday presents this morning, as well as all the balloons that Rach and I blew up before we went to bed. I managed to capture her just as she said her new latest saying which is 'wow!' as she was opening her present from me and Alan. We then watched Frozen which is her favourite movie whilst her daddy built her new kitchen from Ikea. Her birthday party is tomorrow, so unfortunately I won't be here to go to that, but it's been nice to be with her on her birthday.
My train was at 11.40am and it was quite a journey as I'm feeling worse, not better, even after almost a week of antibiotics. I had to change trains at Crewe to get a faster connection to London, but then there were no trains to Brighton so I had to get a train to Three Bridges and then the rail replacement bus. I finally got into Brighton just after 4pm and Alan picked me up from the station.
I had an hour at home and then went to the Congress Theatre in Eastbourne with Alison, Chrissy and Barbs to watch Dirty Dancing, which is another pre-birthday treat. Despite not feeling great, the show was brilliant and I'm really glad I went.
