A day of goldcrests and pied wagtails...

I am very lucky with my home garden birds. I've spent quite a bit of time watching a goldcrest in my home garden, it loves the peanuts at the back & the bushes at the front. Also today I had my first fieldfare in the back garden along with the wren & song thrush that have been here for a while. The male blackcap is still visiting but no more bramblings as yet...still, pretty good birding I reckon! 

I did get a photo of the goldcrest which is here...  on my flickr page but this is the photo I like the best from today. I went for a walk in the beautiful ice world this morning (ice things on shoes are amazing... ) and was lucky enough to watch 2 pied wagtails feeding in a field just by the fence, so very close. I waited for them to move on to the snow, they obliged and I have this fab pic as a great memory :)
