Finding green ~ on a red hot day.

The heat is, how can I put it? Stifling, humid, sticky, causing lethargy.....it's just hot, to say the least.

Rather than sitting around the house today, thinking about all of the things we could be doing in the garden, husband and I went for a drive, in the air-conditioned car, travelling to some of the outer villages of Murwillumbah.

When we stopped off at Chillingham for a cool drink, the lady in the store, (who just happened to know husband from their school days!) suggested we visit a small creek just off the main road.

It was beautiful! And so much cooler among the trees, beside the water, sipping our cool drinks and taking photos. A lovely afternoon indeed.
