Ladybird?

The ladybird title is queried because firstly, this is a new species for my collection and secondly, is it even a ladybird! The translucent elytra (wings) are very reminiscent of tortoise beetles which are in a totally different family of beetles to coccinellidae (ladybirds).
 
I haven’t done any research for an ID yet, as I am busy with work.
