#7 El Hombre en Llamas
This a mural painted by the mexican muralist (who was also born in my hometown!) José Clemente Orozco in 1938 and 1939. This one is located in my hometown public square, but it is actually a replica, the original one is located in Jalisco's capital city: Guadalajara; more specifically in the "Hospicio Cabañas."
It represents the prehispanic life, with its primitive rituals that would keep people away from compassion and human feelings. It is also a social criticism to injustice, corruption and betrayal that affect our society on a daily basis.
