Whilst we were away over the weekend, Gina managed to get some metal stuck through her nail and into her finger... she was washing the dishes using a metal scouring pad.

Last night after we got back, she went to emergency because it had started to swell up and she was sent home and told to come back tomorrow (this morning) to have it removed...

This was the result - she had to have general anaesthetic and they removed the entire nail!! A bit extreme, but they said that it was a very good job that she'd gone in because it had swollen up a fair bit already and could have got nasty.

Maybe time to invest in a dishwasher... :)
