New NAACP Officers
The Portland chapter of the NAACP installed new officers today, on its 101-year anniversary. Jo Ann Hardesty, a former State Representative and life-long advocate for justice and civil rights, became the new President. Marilyn Keller gave the Invocation and led us in singing "Lift Every Voice and Sing." And at the party following the investiture, this delightful man, Will Bennett, stood on a chair to take pictures of the crowd. I took pictures of the speakers, the singing, and the official photo moments, but this is my favorite of the day.
Thanks to Subjunctive for naming this the "Smart phone asana." Using that.
