Time to say Goodbye

... to our friend and colleague, Sven. What a huge turn out of people including many of his pupils, now adults, who had flown in from Istanbul, New York and all over Europe. The tributes were wonderful pieces of literature: funny, scathing, joyful and above all else, loving for this wonderful "Teacher for all Seasons".

The conversation between Sir Thomas More and Richard Rich in "A Man for all Seasons" runs like this," But, Sir Thomas, even if I am a good teacher, who will know? More replies, "Why Richard, you will know, and your pupils, and God. That is not a bad audience."

Sven must have known what a great teacher he was and his family certainly had that demonstrated to them today. RIP Sven.
