Castlerigg Stone Circle

We stopped at Castlerigg Stone Circle on the way back from Penrith today...

Fortunately we were the only people there for a short while!

Castlerigg Stone Circle is near Keswick...It is 30 metres in diameter, and there are 38 stones. The tallest is 2.3 metres high. It was built around 3000BC.

The land is owned by National Trust and it is maintained by English Heritage.

Plenty of snow on the fells, but none in Cockermouth,

Have you spotted Chloe???
