My old primary school

St Augustine's, Coatbridge. I was here from 1970 till 1977 I think!

Most of the teachers were in their 60s and were spinsters. They probably started teaching in the 1930s. I think the hippy new ways of the 70s was too much for them. They believed the main thing to teach was Catholicism - and they belted it into us. It was mass mass mass. And when they weren't teaching they were at church themselves.

Happy days though.
