Deep freeze

Awoke this morning to a bright blue clear sky and bitterly cold air. There was a crisp coating of ice on the plant pots and on the cars. These beautiful frost patterns on the roof of the BMW caught my daughter's eye and she alerted me just in time, before the weak winter sun crept above the hedge-line to begin melting everything.

It is a gorgeously bright winter day here in Kent, but still bone-chillingly cold. Thank goodness I'm spending a couple of days somewhere warmer next week!
