And the most exciting thing that happened today, the new regs book turned up.

Electrical regs get changed every couple of years. Often very minor amendment's.

As from 1 Jan 2015 we now work from the 2008 17th edition with the 2015 3rd amendment.

This time around sees the requirements for all new domestic fuseboards to be made of metal, a tightening on RCD requirements, and the maximum values of earthloop impedance (Zs) reduced.

See, told you it's exciting!

So that's another 100 quid for the book in the picture. Another 25 quid for each on site books for each of the 8 employees, and another 300 quid for all the other required books we have to keep updated as required by the governing body.
