Fantastique

As in Berlioz' symphony tonite's at the Kennedy Center.

The first hour was a 'beyond the score' multi-media presentation, led by an actor playing Berlioz, explaining how the symphony came together. The full orchestra highlighted the main themes to look for in the actual performance.

The performance itself was masterfully conducted by Christoph Eschenbach,  an acquisition from New York that's done wonders for the National Symphony Orchestra. Delightful evening :)
