Libby meets Katie

I took Libby today to get a second opinion to see if it was really going to be necessary for Libby to have all of her teeth removed. I was told that she had a dental condition called Feline Stomatitis and would need to have all her teeth removed. (My current vet doesn't do that) so I have been calling around talking to about 7 other vets and asking questions. I decided today to go to Banfield Pet Hospital in Champaign. When the vet checked her out  this afternoon, by trying to looked in her mouth (the best you can do with a cat), she wasn't all that sure that she would need to have all of her teeth removed. With that being said, I will take Libby back in 2/9 to have her teeth cleaned and they will sedate her to do that and enable Katie (Libby's new vet)to take a good look at her teeth and gums. I am praying for good news. I am feeling much better tonight and hoping for a better report. Oh and by the wasLibby was her normal sweet good girl today. They were all impressed. Before you mention it I took Libby to have her nails trimmed yesterday. As you can see she was  nervous and a bit scared. Bless her heart.
