Woodpecker

I thought I'd blipped the sparrowhawk this morning but just managed to catch its bum rear end before it took flight on the arrival of the magpies.  Thankfully the woodpecker braved the snow and spent some time in the elder tree.

Due to the weather it has been a quiet day today.  We've had a go at JeanneB53's jigsaw (thanks Jeanne), Tony's baked a cake, I played at a bit of housework, we've strolled to the garden centre and taken a roundabout route home to take a look at the 'grand design' going up on the edge of St Ives.  It may be a future blip.  I've written some postcards and posted this year's Carlyle Adventures off to Becky and Rob in the States.
You can't see the snow falling on my blip but he does have a couple of snowflakes on his head!
