Australia 2013 Backblip #19

Ate breakfast on our patio this morning, and were joined by a kangaroo who stayed around for a while and let us take photos. We then tidied up and packed the car ready to go.

Our first stop today was Reeds Lookout and we took a walk from here to The Balconies. Along the way we had a good view of a lake out to our left, and found an area where many people had created piles of rocks.

We then drove to the Wonderland Car park and took a walk through the Grand Canyon. This was a bit smaller than the real one but we had fun walking along the canyon floor.

We then had lunch in Halls Gap, filled the car up with petrol and drove through to Ararat for a short stop for tea and hedgehog cake. They don't get hedgehogs here, but it's apparently a childhood name for the Echidna.

We then drove through to Ballarat and after a short detour around the city centre one way system found our hotel and checked in.

After a quick flop we then had a short walk around the center of Ballarat before heading out for some dinner.
