Blip meet on the South Bank
How delightful it is to meet up someone you have corresponded with on Blip and yet have never met. You meet at last and you feel like you've known them forever. Suinlondon (can't seem to do a link) and I met on the South Bank and spent a lovely hour or so together, in a cafe and then walking along by the river. Thanks Su, we must do it again sometime. Love the coat!
Earlier, Gordon and I happened upon an exhibition of 'Terror and Wonder' at the British Library. We didn't know what to expect and thought we would just give it a go for 20 minutes or so. Two hours later we emerged and couldn't believe how long we had been. It is an excellent exhibition exploring the Gothic imagination - it's genesis in 1764 with the Horace Walpole novel 'The Castle of Otranto', through to its influence on 19th century novels, 20th century films, modern literature and ends with a photo essay of a Goth gathering in Whitby last year. Fascinating stuff.
Tonight we are meeting up with our daughter and husband for dinner out. Tomorrow - well that's another day.
