(What? No) Starling?

Still on yesterday's startling - we can choose thumbnails again!

I knew that there wouldn't be a single starling to be blipped today, never mind one of those wonderful murmurations. For several hours I was thinking that all the world's birds had disappeared, our garden was unusually bird-quiet.


Thern along came a  charm/company/trembling of chaffinches, same order as the starling, the Passerine (indeed, it seems half the bird population are).
