Karaoke Night!

I love traditions. Traditions that you have with friends and family and maybe even just yourself are so amazing. They help you realize that in this world of over 7 billion people you have managed to make something substantial about yourself, something that you reliably do on a regular basis. In a world of unpredictability you have guaranteed something, no matter how small. So I try to have a few traditions for myself. Monday Night = Karaoke. A terribly sung, ear-splitting rendition of popular tunes from all across the board is, I suppose, a better name for it. The rest of my family took to hiding on karaoke night, and I guess I can’t really blame them. Monday nights are Karaoke nights in our house. Well sometimes we have to switch it to Friday, depending on scheduling interferences. But we had Karaoke night this past Monday, and I really didn’t feel well so I sort of just sat on the couch and occasionally sang along to my favorites that they did. However, even though I was pretty much just a casual observer it was still entertaining. We did some of the classics including, but not limited to: I Will Survive, Somewhere Over the Rainbow, Don’t Stop Believing, Wind Beneath My Wings, you know, the usual. And we did some of our personal favorites: Rude, lots of Taylor Swift, and a fantastic duet to Bromance by me and Kenzie. (Kendra doesn’t know the song and we couldn’t find a karaoke version with lyrics, so we had to make up for it and do perfectly. We did.)
