Beautiful Barcelona

This extravagant modernist apartment block sits on the corner of Consell de Cent and Aribau in Eixample and was at its best in today's sunshine.

We set out this afternoon for a stroll from our house, through Eixample and into the centre. On our walk, we found ourselves outside a little cinema at 4.14pm , looking at the poster advertising The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, which started at 4.15. Having heard good things about it from Lady Findhorn, we had a quick confab to decide if we could enjoy it on an empty stomach and then bought the tickets. I get nervous going into pitch black cinemas as I feel sure I'll fall and embarrass myself. However, I managed to get into a seat, thinking Bb was behind me. Then there was a bit of fumbling around, squeals in the row behind, then lots of 'shooshes', as Bb tried unsuccessfully to plonk himself down on someone's lap behind me! We eventually got settled and really enjoyed the film though! Bb said as we were leaving that Indian restaurants here in Bcn should be standing outside the cinema handing out cards as we couldn't have been the only folk who felt like an Indian!
