Rainbow Over Dudley

Well, here goes for a first blip - have been debating about blipping for a few years and finally got round to it.

Not one of my best shots, but I guess its better to just start somewhere than not a all ;-)

This rainbow over the local park was rather large; and even at 15mm I still couldn't get it all in. So in the end I just for a portrait shot instead.

I haven't really tried taking shots of rainbows before so I struggled to get the light balance right; I ended up using a polarising filter which seemed to help (though it did make the shot a bit grainy.

If anyone out there has any tips for capturing rainbows I'm always keen to learn a new trick.
