Above the clouds

A run along the length of Erceg's Way to Whisper Cove this morning. Treated to wonderful colours in the sky and the water as I went. Almost at Whisper Cove I saw the kuaka (godwits) feeding in the shallows. Got some rather splendid photos of them with the sky and sea behind. 

So as I headed up Tamatea Drive to the main road I felt pleased even though the low clouds had prevented me from seeing the sunrise.

Halfway up the hill (some 5 minutes after the expected time of sunrise), I looked back and saw the sun just showing through a gap in the clouds, and took my photo of the day.
