Derelict Thursday and Hawk

We drove around Sauvie Island looking for birds on this rainy day. It was an enjoyable ride with my hubby. We didn't see many ducks....but we could hear the shotguns of the duck hunters so it made sense that the ducks were making themselves scarce.

I stopped to take a photo of a red tailed hawk in a tree by the road, but he flew to a tree near this old deserted barn. SO....I thought this would be a good Derelict Thursday post.

We saw thousands of Canada Geese and a few Sandhill Cranes. We also, saw a Northern Harrier and small falcon. It was a fun day as we used our leased car and added a few miles since we were way below our allowed mileage for the two year lease and we turn it in tomorrow.
