Blowing sand during a 72 m.p.h. gust
at Rossall Point. Fortunately the tides at the moment are small. This shot is taken at about half tide from the ops room 14 metres up and you can see the gullies that can so easily cut off the unwary walker . The gullies are not so easily seen from ground level, which adds to the danger when they quickly fill from the incoming tide.
