Isn't Biology amazing!

This is a sprig of celery ( normal green celery) with the cut stem placed in eosin dye. We do this experiment to show how water is drawn up through the stem to the leaves of the plant , and this particular experiment set up yesterday by Debs worked exceptionally well! I love Biology!
Mr U&L has been buying me some tea strainers ready for rock pooling with the grandchildren, I can't wait!!! And... I have booked tickets for 'Butterflies in the Conservatory' at Wisley ....simply can't wait!!!!
