Reflections

Took a drive up towards Staffin this afternoon with hubby having dropped our son at his Shinty match. My back has been playing me up again so hubby drove and stopped every now and then so that I could do some blipping.

This blip is taken up at a place called Loch Cuithir, where Diatomite was mined many years ago (you can still see where the old railway track was that was used to take the Diatomite down from the Loch to the coast at Lealt.

It is difficult to get a scale of the cliffs in the background but to the very left of the picture is Sgurr a Mhadaidh Ruaidh (hill of the red fox) which gave its name to a book and tv mini series back in the 1970s.
