The Atomium

We also went to see the Atomium, wich was built in 1958 for the World Faire. Each sphere is 18 m in diameter.

We thought it was possible to take a walk to get there but it was more far out than we thought. It took us two hours to get there. It looked spectacular against the clear blue sky, but there was a lot of people there. We queued for 45 minutes to get to the elevator to get us up to the highest sphere to see the view of Brussels. When it was time to go back to the city centre we went by metro.
