19TH CENTURY LYRE GUITAR

CC maintains this is a beautiful instrument.

I beg to submit that it's an outrageously over-decorated kitchissimo piece of bling! Yeah well... At least I don't have to take the back off, but short of removing & completely re-building the neck this guitar will never be rendered playable.

Have a gander at the angle of the top of the neck & compare it with the angle at the 15th. fret where the fingerboard  meets the table - it's twisted about 5° out of kilter!!

It belongs to an antique dealer who has a shop in the Grand Sablon - a place where those with more money than sense go to invest...
