Follow the Signs

Popped in to Oxted this morning to get a battery for a watch and had a few minutes wandering around town with a camera, so I thought I'd show you something that was particularly representative of the place. I photographed the park and the memorial, some of the architecture, and even the giant gas storage tank that hovers over the town like it's ready to invade (although funnily enough you never really notice it when you're there), but the thing that most said 'Oxted' to me was this sign.

It's a small town, but the people who look after it understand detail, and little touches like this make the place really quite special.
