Storm Warning

The expected big storm which has already caused disruption throughout Britain is set to roar up the channel tonight and several warnings for the Isle of Wight are in place.

We are expecting severe gales and rain adding to the already flooded areas so it's a case of batten  down the hatches. I had intended to go to camera club tonight but do not relish a drive through narrow country lanes in these conditions.

Worrying time for the tugs holding the capsized car transporter as there is every possibility it could break loose from it's anchor. 50'000 tons of drifting ship would be no joke.
