Violinning

I had quite a musical day today. Went violin shopping with KinkyCupcakes (pictured) in the afternoon. I love hearing her play, even if it is just to try out new instruments and see which one sounds best. We checked out Melbourne Strings on Whitehorse Rd. and then the Violinery on Bridge Rd. A place more reminiscent of a shop from Harry Potter than a music shop. The little old guy running it had a real "Ollivander" vibe about him too.
In the evening we all went out to see my mum sing with the Heidelberg Choral. They performed the Beethoven Mass in C and the Choral Fantasia, which was fantastic with their amazing guest pianist.
