Big Change

The demolition of the former Bradford and Bingley Building Society HQ is progressing. This was taken from the main road this morning and what a change from the view on Monday when it looked to still be intact!

I went round the back to photograph the view from there too, and with my lens through the hole in the gates where the padlock was, I was challenged by the site manager, asking if I was taking photos for my own use. I of course said I was, so he very kindly invited me into the site to take some more photos. The progress is even more visible from the rear of the building but as I had said the photos were for my own use , and he invited me rather than me asking I felt I couldn't blip one of them.  He tells me work will start with a big crane pulling down the 5 rise section in three weeks. I will be back with the camera again, and if invited again will make sure I ask permission to blip one!
