A riverside walk

We had a light covering of snow this morning but it didn't stay all day so no snowy shots.

This morning I took my neighbours to catch a train from Shrewsbury Station so while I was there I went for a walk along the River Severn which was very high.

This shot is from the Quarry which is a big park between the river and town. In the distance are the circular St. Chad's church and the tower of the market hall. I'm old enough to remember the original market which was demolished in the 1960s and this much less attractive building put in it's place.
