Today represents the half-way point of our holiday.  It's also a rather large birthday for me so we organised a couple of days with no excursions at this lovely hotel in Hoi An.   As a bonus,  the sun came out properly and the temperature rose to something comfortable at last.  Back at the hotel there was still a very strong wind and enormous waves which meant that sea bathing is out of the question.

A nice surprise was when the restaurant staff presented me with a beautifully decorated birthday cake and when we got back to our room there was a basket of flowers from the management.  It was a lovely touch.

We had a very relaxed morning exploring the lovely town which is shoppers paradise.   I have ordered a tailored jacket as Hoi An is famous for its tailoring.  Jane calls it my 'Birthday Suit'.  It will be ready tomorrow.
