Duck Walk

Here's our last remaining duck, well he is a drake actually, but we will skim over that minor detail. In light of the recent storms he has spent most of his time sheltering next to the sheds. Usually he spends his days swimming on his private lake - I say lake, it is an old track that runs through here, which used to be a way for people and carts to make their way to and from the moorland. As the temperatures plumetted two nights ago, this "lake" has become a frozen mass. His lordship made a return visit today to see how, indeed if,  the thaw was progressing. As you can see, not well....
