10 year difference

Sugar woke up excited to play with some of her new birthday treasures.  She got busy creating and building, while I got busy making breakfast.  We spent the morning in our jammies, and relaxing quite a bit.  

When the afternoon arrived, we headed out to see my friend and her new baby.  Sugar was super excited to meet the new little one.  We were both a little giddy about it.  We couldn't wait to give her some handmade gifts.  Sugar had crocheted her a little ear warmer/head band, and I had crocheted her some little webbed footed duck booties.  Both are for when she is a bit older, but we still couldn't wait to deliver them. 

We had such a nice visit.  Baby and mama are settling in, and it was great to see them and daddy in their home together.  Sugar was over the top thrilled that they offered to let her hold the new baby.  It was awkward at first....Sugar was a bit stiff, but after awhile, they both settled in and got comfy.  Sigh.....10 years separates them....but I just know they'll have a journey together, and I can't wait to watch.
